Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48 hours notice for cancellation or the session fee will be charged.

How long is a parent consultation or counselling session?

A  session is 50 minutes.

Can I see you for both parent consulting and personal counselling?

Yes. Sometimes parents are wanting both parent consulting and individual counselling. Both can dove tail and we see this work complementing the growth of the individual.

Will you answer questions via email?

We book appointments online and any concerns or questions of a therapeutic nature will be dealt with during a scheduled session.

In a parent consultation session, do you need to see my child ?

No. We work with parents to guide them and help make sense of the challenges they face with their child. We do not need to see the child to be able to assess the problems and provide support.

Do you counsel children or teenagers? 

We do not work with children and we are not taking on any new teenage clients at this time. We will see you, the parent, to help support you with your child or teenager. Do you provide marriage counselling?

No, we do not provide couples therapy.

Will the session be covered by my insurance?

You can check your extended health plan. Many plans do cover our designation which is Registered Professional Counsellor. Our registration number will be provided on the receipt which you can submit to your insurance provider.
